Local Information

Situated on the quiet, moody and sometimes mysterious north Norfolk coast, Morston Hall provides easy access to some of the great country houses of East Anglia, such as Sandringham, the Queen's private residence, Felbrigg Hall, Holkham Hall and Blickling. Please look at the Stately Homes page for more information and contact numbers.

Other local attractions include the Langham ornamental glass works, the famous military vehicle collection at Muckleburgh, the Thursford Collection that incorporates objects as diverse as Wurlitzer organs and traction engines. There are also several functional steam railways and a Shire horse centre in north Norfolk. The more energetic may wish to tackle the coastal walk, which follows the seashore or, in season, sail the local waters. There are wild-life sanctuaries nearby, one of which can only be visited by motor launch. Please look at the Local Attractions page for more detailed information of these places and contact telephone numbers.
